Wedge Tool Pouch is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from A Must Have for Chainsaw Work! Any serious chainsaw user will know what I mean when I say that a wedge pouch is an absolute must have when working in the woods! This pouch has made it so easy and convenient for me to keep wedges and other tools handy for when I need them. Sure, you can put wedges and tools in your pockets, I myself did that for awhile. All I have to say about that is, it got old pretty quick. After using this just once, it has become an indispensable part of my tool belt. The pouch is deep enough to securely hold a 12" wedge, and leave about 2.5-3" sticking out the top. It held the two 12" wedges I have, along with a 10" wedge with no problem. The gussets on it have been optimized for holding tools as well. One side holds a bar wrench, and has a Velcro flap to hold it in place. The other side is used for a file. It has been stitched so that there is a slot just big enough to slip a file down into and not have it flop around. A file, with a handle, sits in there very nicely. The bottom of both gussets are open, so the tools can reach down to the bottom of the pouch. The smaller pouch in the front has a Velcro flap, and is big enough to hold any other necessary tool you may need. I was able to put two 5.5" wedges in it, along with a spark plug (I keep mine in an old prescription medication bottle for protection), a small screwdriver for carburetor adjustment and one of those black Torx wrenches that STIHL offers. I probably could have put another thing or two in there. I took out the wedges, and tried out two 18" loops of chain in there, along with the other things, with no problem at all. The fabric used to make this pouch looks and feels like Cordura, so it should be fairly durable. I don't own a logger's tape...yet, but I'm sure the D-ring works fine for that. The one drawback about this wedge pouch is the belt loop. You cannot use anything wider than a 2" belt to hold this pouch. Anything wider, and it will NOT fit. I would suggest that the belt loop be made to accommodate up to a 3" wide belt, in my opinion. That might just be what makes or breaks a sale. So there you have it! The first in-depth review of STIHL's wedge pouch. I guess what I am trying to say is, this is one handy, versatile accessory to have on your tool belt...if it fits on your belt that is.
